PageRank (PR) is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry Page which is used by the Google search engine that assigns a mathematical weighting to each element with the purpose of measuring its comparative value within the set.
Every page in the Google database is assigned a "PR" number, which can be in between 0 - 10. The higher the value, the better ranked the page is. In order to receive a higher pagerank, you must receive more links to your site from other websites which is related to your website themes. The higher the PR, the better prospective the site ranks better.
When a website has PageRank of 0, the site is said to be "PR0".
